On-and-off CDing since early teens. Long stretches without any urges but here in my advanced middle age Mona has emerged in force. She's a high-spirited gal who shall no longer be denied. It's both thrilling and a bit intimidating because I don't know where she's planning to take me. Although I only get to dress every now and then, I'm having great fun and just enjoying the ride. I'm happy to have found this welcoming and supportive community and hope to get more involved as time allows.

A wonderful blast from the past!
Mona, I think your makeup skills are among the best of everybody here at CDH. So it’s fascinating to see you at a time when they were still just developing. Even though, I have to say, they still look pretty darn good!
Thank you Angela. Of course, we tend to be our own worst critics, so it’s sometimes difficult to look at my older images. All part of the process though.

Well – you have proven the old adage – Practice makes Perfect. (And what fun it is to practice…).
Very much so, ChrissyD. When I look back at my very first attempts to look pretty, I see a woman who was just starting to emerge after being hidden for so long. Like any woman, I’ve learned that it takes some time to find what works best for you in terms of make up and clothing. Anyway, Mona is still emerging and I’m still learning. As you say, it’s all great fun.
Mona, you look beautiful close up. I’m glad you posted some oldish ( we don’t say old around here) photos. I keep looking back at mine and as you say, I hope they keep getting better, yours are, but this one is still makeup perfection in my opinion.
Thank you so much, Jennifer. Looking at this photo in earlier ones, I mostly see my male face. But I’m probably being too hard on myself. It’s all part of the journey and all part of the fun.
So darn cute!! Also, I couldn’t agree more with your thoughts!! Learning, growing and improving are always at the core of this process for me. It is more than a hobby, and far less than a regular thing for me. It’s an outward expression of something so deep, that only our sisters can so truly understand and appreciate.
