I am a combat veteran, born in US but grew up overseas. College degrees, pansexual/transexual, well travelled. I was outed several years ago as just gay. Clearly the person I confided in did not listen very carefully. They tore down most of my closet then. I stayed hidden in what was left of it for a year then began to finally dress and go out publicly. I cried the first time I walked into the correct restroom and sat to pee. It was as if I had just been officially recognized. I made the mistake of trusting a very liberal niece and let her take a picture or two. Eight months later she got angry with me over something trivial and posted the pics to the rest of my family and eventually my mother discovered them. I now stand pretty much alone though still trapped in a failed marriage. I have not dressed in almost a full year now, but after a recent divorce for another family member, I have decided life is too short and intend to get back to my happier self. Wish me luck!
