...has it been 2 years (!) since I posted a photo in this dress. Being snug and velvety she is more than a match as an antidote to a cold, colorless winter day--every year by late January or February she's skipped the line of ideas at least once. This dress has a personality too though--whether with makeup or hair or a coordinating piece or with the camera settings, if what I'm doing isn't working, it feels and looks more obvious in this dress than most any other. So its a good dress if you don't mind some brutal honesty that results in deletion of an entire day's worth of pictures, which is what happened back in December. I don't know, maybe that's what keeps me coming back?

Jill Marshall

I'm a happily married, 40+ suburbanite who spends nearly all of my time doing fairly typically suburbanite things. From the outside I don't think it would look like anything that distinguished, but from the inside, I love seeing the life I have and the people and relationships and places in it all developing and changing. Dressing didn't figure in until well after that story began, so each storyline has been adapting to the other. Although I first dabbled in intermediate school with one of my sisters dresses, I didn't dress at all after that until I rediscovered it about 10 years ago, and have been learning little by little and finding new happiness in it continually as I go. I'll always keep trying new styles and silhouettes, but I feel like the way I dress now is pretty close to the final form it will take--when I have time and space that I can do a complete job of it, and be immersed in it, and only as often as circumstances allow for that. However, in crossdressing as in life, as difficult as it can be for us, whether in long term relationships or trying to find others like yourself, the more you share the more will come back to you.

Gorgeous dress, Jill. And I’m guessing that you looked just as wonderful in a fair number of the photos that were deleted. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good girlfriend (speaking as someone who is guilty as charged). Love to see any photo you post – your presentation is perfect…errr…really good.

Jill, you are seeking perfection, which is laudable but not achievable. You are blossoming into such an attractive, desirable woman. Thank you for sharing your creations with us!

Brilliant, as always! Your style, your writing, your hair, that Mona Lisa smile, and those plants. I’m so captured by that incredibly long runner draped across the top of two windows. Like you, it seems to be ever seeking a perfect place to grow and reveal its beauty.
