Another pic from my photoshoot on Saturday, while it was scorching outside. I could not imagine going out dressed in such conditions. Within 5 minutes, I would slowly die of heat stroke from being encased in wig and shapewear, while my makeup melted down. I think CDing is best practiced in cool/cold weather and/or air conditioning. How do some of you girls manage to get out and about in hot weather (looking at you, Peggy Sue).

On-and-off CDing since early teens. Long stretches without any urges but here in my advanced middle age Mona has emerged in force. She's a high-spirited gal who shall no longer be denied. It's both thrilling and a bit intimidating because I don't know where she's planning to take me. Although I only get to dress every now and then, I'm having great fun and just enjoying the ride. I'm happy to have found this welcoming and supportive community and hope to get more involved as time allows.

Hey Slimbo, It hasn’t been over 100 degrees in Chicago since 2012 and it happened 5 times in July. This July is so much more temperate. Hope you get some relief soon

Simple response Mona, the old(in)famous adage “crossdressing is a winter sport”

Caty.

PS, I dont go outside as Caty in summer, but I do love the warmer nights, then I can wear all my lovely silk lingerie/nightwear

It’s been over 100 degrees here for weeks and with no end In sight. I agree it’s a winter sport or indoors with loads of AC.

And looking great while sheltering. I often find wearing a wig out when it’s very hot and humid, makes me feel like sheltering in is a much better choice.

Ha, Hi Mona, yes, I do sweat in shape wear, not too bad with the wig though, and the make up stays in place. I missed many outdoor summer festivals, because of the heat & humidity this year. I stay hydrated and spend much time indoors in the air conditioning, just venturing out toward evening, when the temp finally drops some.

Hugs, love the blue dress!

You are correct, it is a challenge to not have your makeup melt off. I bring extra stay spray along and try to park close to the store I go in so I can minimize my walk in the heat. Doesn’t always work. Lol
