The Christmas fairy (poem)

It was early in the morning when the fairy climbed down from her tree She cleaned up the mess left by Santa and opened up the presents that were clearly meant for me She peeled the spuds prepared the sprouts and then she took the turkey out She put it to one just to let the turkey rest taking pride in her endeavours to make this day the best. The guests arrived soon after. they opened all their presents and left the mess for she She served them all the food and drink then ate hers by the kitchen sink she washed up all the dirty plates then started making evening tea She finally got rid of all the guests and sprawled in the chair to rest, she shoud really go to bed but looked at the mirror then I said... The perfect hostess that I see was that fairy up the tree, My first Christmas as a woman with all my family
