The Girl Got Hips

Here’s another pose from the same photo session. This was my first time wearing hip pads. I really like how they look with these jeans. I’ve never worn shapewear with my dresses. It’s just never bothered me to have slender hips, but I really notice a difference with these skinny jeans. It’s nice to have curves! They really help in balancing my broad shoulders and give me more of an hourglass over an apple figure. I never thought I’d like shapewear this much, but now I’m sold. The Universal Thread ankle boots are from Target and a total surprise. They are size 12 and fit perfectly! I’m typically and 12.5 or 13 and finding good, fashionable shoes is hard. If all of Target’s size 12s fit this well, then this will open up a bunch of options for me in the future. I love this Universal Thread brand. The jeans are from them as well. Really good clothes on par with Madewell and J. Crew at a much lower price.

The body shape accentuates an already lovely image. I like that you have chosen to debut your shape in a casual outfit.

Thanks, Michelle. I’ve been trying out the new shapewear with different outfits. It’s funny, I either love it or it looks crazy and over the top. I might try a size down for a more subtle look. It is fun to have curves on occasion.

Hi Marie: Thanks so much for the tip about shoes at Target. I never would have guessed, but this week I intend to do some serious shopping there in person. BTW, I absolutely love the blue maxi dress you’re wearing in the pic taken in Palm.Springs. You look so pretty!
