LOL! Today I went to a local salvage store to buy some "manly" products (caulking and an extension cord) and couldn't resist looking through the women's clothing section. I was underdressed, which definitely put me in the mood. OMG!, I was sooo nervous, even though no one said anything to me or gave me weird looks (at least that I noticed). I knew it was all in my head, but that didn't necessarily ease my nerves. I went in and out of the women's sections so many times and then pretended to go look at something else. One of my many times in the shoe section, I spotted some animal print flats that I was dieing to try on, but couldn't get up the courage to do so. I was even wearing panty hose under my guy socks, but was too scared to actually sit down and try them on. So, I went back to an aisle display that had some women's tights, some scarves, and men's boxer shorts (very random display, huh?). I pretended to look at the boxers and then grabbed a couple types of the tights in my size. As I quickly walked through the women's tops pretending to be on the way to a different section, I saw this gray sweater in the "S" rack and quickly grabbed it, not even looking at the price. I love that it covers everything, but is still form-fitting. It's a way to feel sexy, while covering all my unladylike chest hair. Then..... when heading back to the shoe section for one more pass through, I spotted a colleague of my wife's. OMG! I also passed out. I don't think she saw me, so I quickly turned around and darted through another aisle. Since I couldn't get the animal-print shoes out of my head, I just HAD to go back to them, although I didn't risk trying them on. I just quickly grabbed the size that I think would fit and rushed to the checkout counter. Whew! I think I escaped without being noticed, or at least without my wife's colleague noticing what was in my shopping basket. Oh, and I didn't find the LBD that I actually was hoping to look for. Maybe I'll have to go back next week, especially since there were also some red silky pajamas there that I though about buying. 😉
