Last Sat night I met with about 14 others, mostly CD’s but a few had their SO’s with them for dinner. Giselle and I posed for this picture, kindly taken by one of the wait staff for us. The level of acceptance here is quite remarkable, the staff knew us as we have bee...
It was a bit chilly and windy today. So I wore a big shirt over a Tee Top. Have you seen women apply mascara while at a stop light? Probably not the best place for that. Me…when I am stopped by a traffic light at an intersection; I snap off a selfie or three along the way t...
On my way out the door of the hotel. I asked the desk clerk to take this one. She was ever so happy. Even wanted to take more but I told her one was enough. Interacting with others is not the problem we might think it is.
Just such a delight to be out enjoying the sunshine in this weather

With such a refined presentation you should have absolutely no problem going out publicly en femme.I think your approach is the correct one, try to blend in with style as any well dressed woman would…and this outfit would be a great choice for most occasions!
Thank you, Kris. That’s very reassuring to hear.
Go for it Angela I think you will be fine! Have a great time the outfit will work fine yes never over the top try to blend the clothes and the makeup like most all women do unless a night out on the town.
Thanks, April. Comments like yours are helping me to build my confidence, and I really appreciate it.
The outfit is lovely and would work perfectly in public.
The shoe color in nude or tan would look even better, and maybe a different necklace? This one is so pretty, but in my appreciation, pearls are reserved for some more formal occasions.
One other thing I’ll pm to you. 🙂
I think you’re right about the necklace. I have another necklace that will probably be more appropriate for the outfit — so I’ll go with that one. I also think your suggestion for the shoes is a good one. I’ll work on that too. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.
I think you are definitely on the right track. Use the KISS principle. Keep it simple silly! Or more specifically, subtle. Subtle doesn’t stand out, and blends in. And you are definitely going to present as a natural girl!!! Can’t wait to follow your progress and see the pics of your adventures!! Following anxiously. -Gemma
Thank you for the words of encouragement, Gemma, and they mean even more to me coming from you. My goal is to have Angela go out in public sometime before the end of this month. One day I’m going to wake up and just decide to do it. Soon.
Sitting pretty on the edge of my seat in anticipation!! You can do it.
I think you just need to step out that front door and go for it! Once you do, you’ll see that the nerves will dissipate and being out in the world won’t be scary…it will be liberating!
Oh, I hope you’re correct. And there’s only one way to find out, right? Except I won’t be stepping out my front door. I’ll be driving out of the garage. OMG, I don’t want my neighbors to see me as Angela. Well, at least not yet.
Hi Angela
Well I think you look fantastic, personally I don’t see why you couldn’t blend in outside, I know confidence is an issue with us girls but if I was was you I would venture out as much as I could ,
Take care Wendy
Thank you, Wendy. Once I venture out, it will be with confidence. That’s the only way this will work. Right now I’m working on building up that confidence. I know I’ll get there.
Quite a lovely, refined look, Angela. I don’t think you’d have any trouble passing with most of your stylish outfits.
I appreciate that, Mona. My worry about passing is that I am a big girl — over 6 feet and almost 200 pounds. So I need my look to be as lovely and as natural as I can get it. Then hopefully people will see me as a large woman, as opposed to the alternative.
You look fabulous Angela, I love your outfit too, yes just tone down your makeup a bit so has not to draw to much attention just enough so people can say your a nice looking girl X
Hugs Rozalyn X
Thank you, Rozalyn. When I first started applying makeup, the concept of “glamming up” or “toning down” my makeup would have been totally foreign to me. My mindset at that time would have been that makeup is makeup. But now I have a very good idea as to the right level for the occasion. I’m amazed as to how much I have learned about makeup in just a couple of months. And sometimes I just pause and let that sink in. I know how to apply makeup! How cool is that?!
Angela, I have absolutely no doubt that you will do well when you decide to venture out. You present as a very attractive woman. You will find that once you get the first one out of the way, going out en femme will not only get easier but will get very addictive, trust me. For your first time, I would personally go with a different top. This one, while lovely, is low cut & shows a lot of your natural breasts or breast forms, I can’t tell which. That skirt and sweater are beautiful. And wearing flats & sunglasses are… Read more »
Thank you for the feedback. Your comments on the low-cut top and the showing of cleavage are helpful, because they are issues I have thought about. I must confess that I tend to play up my cleavage in my photos, and that’s what I’m doing in this photo. But while that may be fine for a photo, I won’t be flaunting my cleavage when I go out in public. My goal is to show just a hint of cleavage or none at all. I will let that occur naturally at the time I put on the final outfit. Those are… Read more »
What a great outfit !
Thank you, Wendie. I hope everyone who will see me in person has the same reaction. Or no actual reaction at all. (I’m good either way.)
