I’ve been thinking a lot about going out in public as Angela. To me, that’s the Holy Grail, the Mount Everest of crossdressing. I’m not there yet, I’m still trying to build up the courage. But I’m close — close enough that I’ve thought about how I will present myself and what I’ll wear. Yes, something feminine of course, but at the same time not flashy. And I’m considering something along the lines of this outfit. A v-neck body suit covered by a light shrug or cardigan, paired with a knee-length, floral-print skirt. I’ll also need to tone down my makeup. Ruby-red lipstick and golden-glow foundation work great for the camera, but they’re a little too much in person . So more muted lipstick, and foundation based on natural skin tones. What do you think? I welcome any feedback and suggestions you may have. This will be a big step for me, and I want to maximize my chances of success.

Even as a boy, I thought girl’s clothing was more interesting than boy’s clothing. I dabbled with crossdressing in my early 20’s trying on my sisters’ clothes — but didn’t take it very far because very little fit me. Eventually my attention turned to my career — getting my degree and teaching at a university. So my crossdressing laid dormant for decades. But the itch never totally went away. When I retired, I realized that the time was right to try my hand at crossdressing again. Except this time I got serious. The internet provided me with women’s apparel that actually fit me — and delivered it to my front door. YouTube taught me how to apply makeup and other tricks to feminize my appearance. And I had the time and freedom to experiment. The result is that I was able to create Angela, a woman whose beauty and femininity exceeded my wildest expectations. I’m sorry if that sounds vain, but I’ll never forget the first time I saw her in the mirror, fully realized, staring back at me. What a rush! If only my 20-something self could see me now! I joined Crossdresser Heaven about three months after I got back into crossdressing, and it changed my life. The support and love I feel from this community has given me the confidence and courage to take my crossdressing to the next level. I now go out in public as Angela — something that I honestly thought I would never do when I began my crossdressing journey. So what’s next? Going shopping with my CDH friends, a professional makeover, and a convention or two. Stay tuned.

With such a refined presentation you should have absolutely no problem going out publicly en femme.I think your approach is the correct one, try to blend in with style as any well dressed woman would…and this outfit would be a great choice for most occasions!

The outfit is lovely and would work perfectly in public.
The shoe color in nude or tan would look even better, and maybe a different necklace? This one is so pretty, but in my appreciation, pearls are reserved for some more formal occasions.
One other thing I’ll pm to you. 🙂

I think you are definitely on the right track. Use the KISS principle. Keep it simple silly! Or more specifically, subtle. Subtle doesn’t stand out, and blends in. And you are definitely going to present as a natural girl!!! Can’t wait to follow your progress and see the pics of your adventures!! Following anxiously. -Gemma

I think you just need to step out that front door and go for it! Once you do, you’ll see that the nerves will dissipate and being out in the world won’t be scary…it will be liberating!

    Hi Angela
Well I think you look fantastic, personally I don’t see why you couldn’t blend in outside, I know confidence is an issue with us girls but if I was was you I would venture out as much as I could ,
    Take care Wendy

Quite a lovely, refined look, Angela. I don’t think you’d have any trouble passing with most of your stylish outfits.

Angela, I have absolutely no doubt that you will do well when you decide to venture out. You present as a very attractive woman. You will find that once you get the first one out of the way, going out en femme will not only get easier but will get very addictive, trust me. For your first time, I would personally go with a different top. This one, while lovely, is low cut & shows a lot of your natural breasts or breast forms, I can’t tell which. That skirt and sweater are beautiful. And wearing flats & sunglasses are… Read more »
