Mirror on the wall showing my time spent preparing for my venture out; to maybe getting my nails done and a quick shopping run. Stop by for a quick lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading back home… before I get caught in my crossdressing.

The only problem is that even though I woke up early to get ready, I hadn’t realized how long it would take to fully get ready to go out. I spent the entire morning putting my outfit together and, of course, doing my makeup. I wanted to leave the house by nine or ten am. By the time I was dressed, with my go to man bag to change in the car if I had run out of time, I kept on telling myself I had time and could make it back without getting caught.

You see, in the past, I have hinted to my wife about my desire to wear women’s clothing, but she wants nothing to do with it. Once she caught me with nails, panties, and stockings and almost had a breakdown; tears and all, even threatened to leave. So, I’m still hiding and hoping one day she will understand. I’m nothing more than a happy, regular crossdresser.

I eventually convinced myself that it was too late to go out. Remembering that I had bought a box of “Krissy” Nails, I could stay home and take some nice pictures to add to my album. I had so much fun taking photos of myself in different places around the house. I was smiling and laughing and giggling just having a fun afternoon. I planned on stopping at about 3:00 pm to allow time to undress and remove my makeup, also to make sure everything was put away before my wife got home. It was going well, but I found myself needing to hurry because time had slipped by again.

I had to move fast to get undressed. I took the makeup off and realized that it wasn’t going to be that easy to get my French Nails off. Suddenly, my wife called and said she was coming home. Trying not to panic, I said I was at the office still, and that I would be home shortly. Thank heavens she said she had to stop by the grocery store to pick up something to go with dinner. It bought be a little more time to get those nails off. I threw the acetone in my jacket pocket and the cold cream, just in case I missed a spot. I put in a black pair of rubber gloves just in case I couldn’t get them off. My office is right down the street, and nobody would be there as we closed early that day.

I quickly ran to the bathroom and began soaking my fingers in acetone. Note to self: “DON’T use the press on nails with glue if you want to take them off in only a few hours.” It took nearly 40 minutes to painstakingly pry them off with pliers. I found an eye dropper and had to drop acetone in the corners and underneath the tips in order to loosen them up enough to peel them off. I washed my face again with cold cream and face wash, making sure no signs of makeup was left on. I tried my best, but the red lipstick left the skin above and below my lips a little reddish pink. I had also gotten something in my eyes, so they were red and irritated.

I went home, and when I wanted to put the acetone and cold cream away, I noticed I’d forgotten to put the red dress away; it was lying on the bed. I hoped that she hadn’t seen it walking by before going upstairs. The light had been off. I quickly put it away and headed upstairs to meet her. She immediately commented that my eyes were all red and irritated. I replied they were strained from working on the computer all day. She also said I should stop using that Burt’s Bees ChapStick with a red tint in it. I pulled it out of my pocket and put it on the kitchen counter. Wow, that was a close call, but it seems like I stand to live another week where I can crossdress again.

As of now, I’m happy to have had a beautiful day with my red dress and taking pictures. I’ll edit them later while pretending to watch the television. I’m still waiting and hoping for the day when she’ll accept my desire to crossdress. Until then, I’m going to venture out and get my nails done while doing some dress shopping whenever I can. Oh, by the way, I drive almost 45 minutes to an hour away from my house to avoid people she might know.

Thanks for reading and let me know if you have had similar experiences.

It’s the biggest fear getting caught and close scrapes are part of the risks of a closeted crossdresser. At least you aren’t put off and continue your escapades.

Oh Kaitlyn, the trials and tribulations of a crossdresser… I can commiserate with you that my wife “caught” me undressing and getting ready to go to bed as she noticed me with panties, cami’s, bralette, and stockings and “almost had a breakdown; tears and all”. that was three years ago and we continue to sleep in separate rooms, However, our compromise is my dressing when she is not home which is 1-2x a week… I have a three hour window to dress apply makeup and then return to my male alter ego.. like you I learned not to put glue… Read more »

I remember what it was like hiding April from people. It was tough. It is much easier now that my wife knows and is at least accepting (although she still wants nothing to do with my dressing). I have found it is easier the older I get too. Life can be tough when you are hiding a large part of yourself. I wish you the best Kaitlyn.

Been nearly caught not fully en-femme (just clothes on) when my wife came home unexpectedly from work. Never felt so much panic!

After a certain point, my ex was tolerant of my dressing. I have never put on false nails (I have never found one that has a thumbnail big enough for my thumb even though I know there are some large size ones). And rarely do I put on nail polish at all. Usually I go out Saturday night, but I’m still in male mode by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. With everything else I have to do, I don’t have time for the nails to really cure down to the nail bed (not just be dry on top). And… Read more »
