Facebook has policies in place to discriminate against transgender people who choose to use their preferred names. If anyone reports you as using a ‘fake name’, then Facebook will suspend your account and ask for government documentation that matches the name on your Facebook account. Many in the transgender community do not have documentation that matches their preferred name on Facebook, and end up losing their friends and community along with their online identity. You can stand up to Facebook’s bullying by signing the petition, sharing this post and spreading the word. To Vanessa I am not a crossdresser but going thru transition early stages but have no website really don’t care for Facebook but need to connect with my local transgender support group. Have yet to change name but only will happen late next year when I speed up my transition thank u for opportunity to talk to someone that will hopefully be able to do something about there policy on using our chosen name’s. The petition is closed so I can’t sign it. I read Facebook’s name policy and Mark Stephens is clearly violating it by having a profile under the name of Robert X. Cringely (he is a minor celebrity who writes and creates PBS videos about technology). I believe that most celebrities whom we know by stage names don’t legally change their names. I haven’t looked, but I’m sure those who have facebook accounts use the names they are known by rather than the ones on their birth certificates. Posted on my Facebook. Youtube full of bully’s too. I don’t understand why so many ppl go to transgender videos just to make negative comments. I probably get overly defensive in my comments to these God fearing bullies
I love women’s clothes, especially thongs and leggings. After breast argumentation, tops will be top priorities, tops to show off my new boobs. Them I’m off, no more men’s clothes, yuk. Friend me, even after I transition, I’ll want to be with a man couple of times, but I’m gonna marry a wife, 2 brides with bunch of maids of honor.
