I had knee surgery in May. I work at the hospital I had my surgery. I knew everyone. Was going to go en drab but I thought the hell with it. Went kinda en femme. Nails painted, ear rings and panties. No one said anything. Well, almost no one. The women in the next bed commented on my nice painted toe nails. When it was time to be discharged the nurse had laid out all my clothes neatly on the bed including my panties. giggles I went back to work with my head held high. I do get the occasional sly grin but never any negativity. In fact I think it has made me more approachable. One more hurdle knocked down in my journey to go public dressed.
