Many of us who grew up in our youth and teen years remember the turbulent 60’s well. It was a glorious time a wonderful time unlike any time ( except now) in our lives. It was a time of innocence, a time of cultural change in music, clothing, radical protests ( Vietnam War) and culture. It was a right of passage, a time to be remembered, and unlike any other period will never happen again. I was a college student in mid 60’s from ‘65-69 and saw the civil rights movement , racial rioting, marches, Beatles, Woodstock, pop art and all the rest. At age 22 in late 60’s none of us had any idea what our future would hold , much less thinking ahead 50+ years in the future being on Social Security, children and grandchildren, home ownership, career job ; it was the furthest thing from our mind.
Now we are the age of our parents and grandparents of that time and trying to make sense of it all- and we can’t, it’s hard to process. History repeats itself for better or worse and it once again it is… a later’ Right of Passage’
