Hello ladies at CDH! I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Julee, and I finally got the courage to take the plunge and fully dress up for the first time this weekend.
I always had an interest in crossdressing and tried it quite a few times when I was in my teens but never felt comfortable due to my upbringing and family as well as years of body acceptance issues from gaining a lot weight in college and into my early twenties. I also felt that I was never going to be supported whenever I tried approaching the subject with my family members or significant others.
I recently got out of toxic marriage due to personal reasons I really don’t feel comfortable discussing here. This led me to finding a wonderful group of friends who helped kind of lovingly nudging me back to this community and lifestyle.
I also lost a lot of weight which has given me a huge boost in confidence. I also found myself trying on women’s clothes again. One side effect of my weight loss was I noticed that it gave me some feminine features that were enhanced when I first started trying on dresses and ladies lingerie not too long ago.
I think that pushed me over the edge and after playing around with a few different photo app filters while crossdressing it led me back to this weekend and wanting to fully explore dressing up completely. I started preparing by buying a few things online, my own makeup kit, a set of thigh high stockings, feminine jewelry and accessories and a pair of high heeled shoes in my size! I then started a few nights before shaving my entire body and face and touching it up when the time arrived. I watched a few makeup tutorials and practiced a bit after I got home from work Friday night. When my shoes finally arrived early Saturday afternoon I spent the whole day dressed up and tried quite a few different outfits and enjoyed taking pictures and posting them here. I felt sexy and confident. I am looking forward to seeing where this path leads me!
Hello Julee welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a big part of who you are and the struggles you have gone through we have all had many in our lives and sharing a part of those helps us cleanse our souls and also helps others who read them and find similarities and hope.
You have found us and made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or public expression and or level of personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression or those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of acceptance and self expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or world were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are; as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, or expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!

Thank you Stephanie! I actually had another positive experience tonight. I came out to one of my close female friends. She was the one who introduced me to the new community of friends who helped push me back into crossdressing. When I first met her she has been mentoring and assisting a wonderful trans woman who I also have become good friends with. My friend who is also very active in the LGBT community has always been very supportive of crossdressers and was very honored when I told her that she helped inspire me to pursue this path. She was so excited and happy for me and said she can’t wait to help me continue my journey together!
