For some reason, I find myself wanting to dress up en femme and show off, just look at some of my recent photos. I love the look of long legs clad in stockings or panyhose. Showing off my bosom.

The strange thing is that as a male, I don’t even like wearing shorts, esp out anywhere. Short sleeve t shirts are fine, but never shirtless. But as I woman, I want to wear shirt skirts,  and I wish had cleavage to show off. I think that if I was real, young woman, I would be one of those that dresses as revealing as I could without being arrested, or attacked.

Looking at many of the pictures here, I think many of us feel the same way.

      How do you feel?

Hi Amy,   I think that you speak to the inner woman in many of us that seeks some affirmation that what we are doing is valid and truly makes us look prettier and feel better about ourselves.  Whether that affirmation comes from within ourselves or from others depends on the individual.  Put me in the camp of exhibitionists that loves to show off for others to look at.  LOL maybe it’s some personality disorder on my part but I love it when people look at my pictures and complement on my physical fitness and good looks.   I only wish I was not closeted so that I could dress up (MUCH) more often and take more pictures to display.

      Hi Amy

More confident, yes, chin up, chest out, walking tall, literally, in heels, exhibitionist ? Would you call women who look their best for wedding receptions, parties, red carpet events etc, exhibitionist ? Do they (or we) do it to feel good in ourselves, or to show off to others? Personally I feel I do it to feel good in myself, not to stand out and be noticed, in fact I usually wish the opposite, to blend in, not to be noticed, rather than stand out !

Yes I have posted photos of me on this site, but don’t feel it was to be an exhibitionist, I was merely seeking advice as to whether others thought I was ‘passable’, I guess so I could blend in, not stand out, to allow me to enjoy the experience, and relax en femme in public.

      love

I went through a phase of dressing in a way that yelled “Look at me” for a while, and I posted (many of them inappropriate) pictures on the internet and used a web cam to harvest compliments from strangers, mostly men. Also there were needless trips out, petrol station, corner shop, London at night to satisfy exhibitionist urges… But it just passed naturally as I found a more comfortable easy going side of my personality and kind of discovered how I really like to dress… Much more under the radar now.

I think it came with age for me ?

Thank you girls for all your replies.

Imogen, you might have a point about this being so new to me, that I want to show off, and perhaps it will pass. I must also confess that I’ve had the temptation to post raunchy pictures on other sites, and so far have resisted that urge. Only as femme though, not for a minute as a male. I hope that I can resist that urge, and just dress up nicely and post here.

Also, I’ve only been out twice, and then I want to dress to look good, but not too sexy. Definitely not in that micro mini that I posted the other day. If/when I go out, my goal is to look femme, nice, classy, not too sexy.

Violence and harassment of women is very real, and I don’t want to attract that kind of attention on myself.

But there is something with the feminine make up that seems to want to display. Some of it is certainly Western society’s conventions, but also something deeper, I think. On a more primeval level, a woman, of a certain age (a woman, not a girl) has a shape that is immediately recognizable, which tells the mature males that she is of an age to bear children. Older women tend to lose their shapely figure as they age, so aren’t as likely to be candidates for children. Society has taken this, and amped it up, at times to be over the top. How much is too much depends on the person, but that’s not quite what we’re talking about.

      Thanks again, girls!

      Hello Miss Amy

At times I love to flaunt it, especially in the house and yard. A time and place…..they say lol. Yes we like to be noticed and sometimes admired for our efforts, other times its way more than that. We’re obviously not alone. I do have some racey private pics as well.

When I am all dressed up and looking pretty, you bet ya I want to flaunt it.  I do love it.  I was at a car wash over the weekend putting gas in and washing the windshield.  I was wearing a thigh length pleated chiffon skirt, and a white chiffon blouse.  It was warm and a wind came up.  As I walked around squeegeeing the windows the wind blew my skirt up and I loved it.  I love the thought of the others at the station getting a little show of my pink satin panties.

I definitely have an exhibitionist streak.  I love to find other women who appreciate what I am wearing and how I look.  I am searching for validation and to make a connection.  I have had several compliments on my heels, skirts and boots to which I have acknowledged but not pursued.  Perhaps I should have.

I think that is a part of me too. I want to look pretty, and want some compliments to reassure me that I do as well.

But there is that very daring streak, which is, I think is something more, or maybe just trying to push the envelope.

        Complicated creatures, aren’t we girls?

      Hi Amy.

I’m adding this because the word wasn’t used in this thread yet…

Once we reach certain level of comfort with how we look, and post some photo and get any compliments… We can become really vain. (I have an article about this topic to be published here in CDH soon).

How vain? Really vain! bordering with narcissistic behavior. Getting compliments can be addictive.

Many of us are “ordinary looking men”. Not very used to getting compliments about our looks. Then at some point in our lives we realize that we start getting compliments when presenting as females or at least dressing up as them. It is quite the shock… and we want more!

Regardless to how my we initially react  to those compliments (From good to terrible, i.e., being hetero, getting some guy to tell you he thinks you are beautiful and hear a follow up going from “would love to buy you a drink” to “I would like to ******** – fill in the blanks”) you can feel desired, outraged, repulsed, it is easy to lose contact with reality. Vanity can be dangerous. To anybody.

Back to topic, one thing to remember… once in the ‘net, it is a few clicks away from anybody in the world. Friend or foe, family or stranger. Good to remember before posting some photo you wouldn’t like your wife or daughter to post themselves.

      Gaby  ♥

Yes, the net can be a scary place, that why I don’t ever want to post anything that gets bordering on porn. The old story about letting the genie out of its bottle, is more true now than ever, I’m afraid.

You are also quite right, that as a guy, I get few compliments. I have many nice male clothes, and like to dress well when I go out, but that’s a different thing, or is it? It certainly is nice to get compliments, and of course it can be addictive, the key is to rein oneself in when you are starting to go too far.

          As always….balance

          Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Sometimes we spend so much time and effort trying to ensure privacy, safety and the sensitivities of everybody else that we forget that we were even trying to move forward in our own lives.

We have a manufacturing plant located close to us, the rules and regulations are so rigid that the union and employee mantra is,

Nobody moves, nobody gets hurt. And Nothing gets done

        • #162511

Most certainly it’s up to the individual as to what they consider going too far.  I never give out my cell #.  I have an anonymous email address that I use.   My profiles never give a hint as to who I really am.   I suppose there is some super cyber sleuth out there who could hack their way somehow to figure out who I am to expose me.  If we are going to fear that “cyber sleuth” then why be on here at all, I say.   Such an individual wouldn’t think twice about using our CD pics against us as well.   I am a cautious person but Anne has needs that I aim to please.   I believe in being careful about what I do but this bird needs to sometimes fly from its cage.

I feel rather the same. I know a number of people that are very net savvy, much more than me, but there is only so much that one can do. Bad things can happen to good and cautious people, and you can only live in fear so much, or else its’ not really living.

I do much the same thing as you, Anne, and not give out anything that is close to personal information, and try to be careful.

I love compliments and growing up rarely got them, so I know I seek them out for all I do. And I do many things. My wife hates me sharing all of these things. My mother was also very creative and also fished for compliments, so my wife nags me by calling me by her name. I do share pictures and try to create some just to please some people.

      Hi Amy!

Oh I do, and try to every chance I get!!!  It is so exciting!

I like to (and have done this) when driving especially.

      PM me and I’ll share.

      🙂

      Hi Amy,

i can totally relate. While I like mostly dresses, women’s suits/skirts, heels, panties, bras, panty hose most of the time and can do it well, I’d like to take it to that level of being able to show off more.
