76 year old crossdresser. Love dressing and feeling girly but in the closet for now. My mother wanted a girl and kept me in dresses with long curly hair until at 2.5 years old my uncle had enough and took me to a barber and insisted my mother cut out the dresses. My nana was raising a female cousin and provided daycare when I was young. If I had an accident she would put me in my cousins panties until my mom came home. It was suppose to teach me to be more careful but I loved the panties. My earliest memories are me trying on my cousins clothes and I have wanted to dress as a girl my whole life. I tried to fight against this by being a manly man. I played ice hockey and joined the Marines, got married and had a couple of children. The need to dress never went away although I fought hard and went through several wardrobe purges. I enjoy cooking, wine, music, photography, shopping of course and most outdoor activities including golf, skiing, skating, and hiking.
You look wonderful, nothing really thrifty about that dress. It is very nice. I know how important moments can be when you only have limited time. I know when I dress I feel a calmness come over me, I know I am being true to myself. Hope that is true for you.
Thanks Carolyn, It is a Clavin Klein that I picked up for $7 so I was thrilled and hope to get to spend a little more time in it. You are right that it was a wonderful calming time in spite of the time crunch.
I have found great deals at thrift store, second hand shops, and even garage sales (get some funny looks there, but who cares, lol). I am always looking gif a great deal on something that is nice and I just can’t live without. Kohl’s is still my go to store, most of my clothing comes from them.
Michelle, my dear friend. I was just thinking about you the other day. It’s been so long since we’ve seen a picture of you. I’m so glad you had this chance — albeit brief — to let yourself shine. Because Michelle, you look fantastic. Just beautiful — a graceful, elegant woman. Honestly, if this is how good you look when you’re in a hurry, I can’t wait to see your photos later this year when you have more time!

Good to connect with my good friend again. You are always so kind. It seems my dressing opportunities are always rushed but come Oct at least there should be some on a regular basis.

Michelle is back I’m as excited as you are. And by the way, you are looking more beautiful than ever. October will be here before you know it, and you’ll have more time to practice.(not that you need it) I can’t wait! But in the mean time you’ll have to hit some more thrift shops to expand your wardrobe before the fall season.
Thanks Jennifer, You are very kind. I did go back to that same thrift shop and didn’t find anything of interest. I guess you have to go frequently to find the right mix of size and style on offer.
Michelle you look so pretty, you look so feminine. The dress look fantastic on you. I think your makeup and hairstyle are perfect for you. I know I have limited time I can dress, but it is such a wonderful experience, one that I cherish.

I didn’t really get a chance to really see myself in the dress except for that one quick sitting shot so I’m looking forward to wearing it again in the fall so I can look at it from all angles. It was over a couple of months since I had a chance to dress so it was really special.
It is a pretty dress, but more important, we can tell you are happy wearing it! It shows!
