I tend to think the same about GGs seeing it as more work. It’s unfortunate. And now with Covid, day-pajamas seem acceptable. See my comment below on the mini skirts and leggings or tights. They move the mini skirt to the modest. I also wear a tunic over the mini so that there’s no visible bulge. (I’m not willing to mutilate myself when tucking.)

I posted a gender reveal party to a bunch of people in August. In September on one of the last warm days, I wore a stretch mini with bare legs and a tunic length top from India to church. After the service I had a circle of friends (all GG women) around me (distanced and masked). No mention of the ensemble, since they had seen me dressed over the past month or so. I was euphoric.
