We’re straying into forbidden territory, and I expect the moderators will lock this thread soon; but first: the code of conduct which says men shall not dress like women AND VICE VERSA was included as part of the admonition not to copy the behavior of the peoples surrounding the Jews. Six of the seven cities around them were Baal-worshipers, and the temples of Baal featured temple prostitutes – many of whom were male. It had more to do with behavior than with wardrobe. And I believe there were actually laws in the US and UK against women wearing pants.
