Scarlett, my goodness what a popular thread you’ve got going here. I thought I had replied but scrolled down through countless posts and couldn’t find my answer. So here it is, as it stands, now.

No one in my family (four brothers and a sister, and their respective SOs and children; my parents have passed) knows. And I’m certain they wouldn’t be supportive, except, perhaps, one particular niece and I’ve come close to telling her, but haven’t developed the courage.

My wife knows I wear panties, earrings, and even lipstick on occasion (BIG OOPS!), and that I shave my legs and other parts of my body, but doesn’t know about my limited wardrobe, or shoes, or other lingerie, or other makeup. She is not approving of the things see has seen.

Now to get to who does know …, in my business travels, I like to pack everything needed to transform into Raquel and go out, fully en femme.

On three separate occasions, I’ve made friends at gay and lesbian bars in cities far from where I live. Twice, lesbians have befriended me and made me feel totally accepted. One, who was only visiting Nashville, but lives in Seattle, offered me a place to stay if I ever wanted to live full time as Raquel. I regret not exchanging contact info with her, not because I would ever think about abandoning my wife and everyone else in my life, but because would love to just have her support, to just be able to correspond / call on the phone and chat. The other, also in Nashville, whose number I did get, offered to take me out and spend a day as girlfriends, shopping, dining, and even getting a makeover on my next visit. I can’t wait for the next time I have to travel there.

In fact, just typing this has encouraged me to text her. I’ll update y’all when she and I meet again.

Much love,
Raquel
