I have a couple nieces in my life that still love and accept me in their life still.Their names are Chloe and Allie,Chloe is 17 and Allie is 15.They have known me for a long time and call me Aunt Skyler now.They are my brother Alex’s two daughters.When I came out 5 years ago that I was going crossdressing fulltime,they adjusted very well to the new me.They say I am much nicer,kind now and see I am finally happy living my dream.Seen them tonight and got a hug from them.Plus I was very proud of Allie,stood up for herself at school today.A couple kids asked about her weirdo uncle that likes to dress as a woman.Stood up and said I am no weirdo,I am a normal uncle that likes crossdress fulltime and happy being me.Looked at her and told her great job on it.Chloe has been picked and she stood up for herself also,said she loves me for who I am knowing this is what I love to do.They have known the new me very well and say I love shoes which is true.
That is a very encouraging story Skyler. I’ve found that younger people seem to have far less problems when we come out to them than older people do. There’s a lot to be said for their attitudes.
Give your nieces and extra special hug. They deserve it.
