Cleaning Makeup Brushes

In was just scolded for not cleaning my makeup brushes by my granddaughter. I usually put the brushes in a clean sock and toss them in the wash with a load of clothes and when the load is done let them air dry. She told me to wet them and use a minimum amount of soapto wash it then rinse and let dryon a clean towel. which is better????

Cassie, her way is better.  I use my face wash – if it takes it off my face, it’ll take it off the brushes.  Too much water, especially hot, will dissolve any glue that holds the brushes together.  If you throw them in the wash, they get too saturated & may fall apart.
