Even as a boy, I thought girl’s clothing was more interesting than boy’s clothing. I dabbled with crossdressing in my early 20’s trying on my sisters’ clothes — but didn’t take it very far because very little fit me. Eventually my attention turned to my career — getting my degree and teaching at a university. So my crossdressing laid dormant for decades. But the itch never totally went away. When I retired, I realized that the time was right to try my hand at crossdressing again. Except this time I got serious. The internet provided me with women’s apparel that actually fit me — and delivered it to my front door. YouTube taught me how to apply makeup and other tricks to feminize my appearance. And I had the time and freedom to experiment. The result is that I was able to create Angela, a woman whose beauty and femininity exceeded my wildest expectations. I’m sorry if that sounds vain, but I’ll never forget the first time I saw her in the mirror, fully realized, staring back at me. What a rush! If only my 20-something self could see me now! I joined Crossdresser Heaven about three months after I got back into crossdressing, and it changed my life. The support and love I feel from this community has given me the confidence and courage to take my crossdressing to the next level. I have now begun to go out in public as Angela — something that I honestly thought I would never do when I began my crossdressing journey. So what’s next? Going shopping with my CDH friends, a professional makeover, and a convention or two. Stay tuned.

I like the glasses and outfit.
Jill, thank you for mentioning my outfit. I thought long and hard about what outfit I would wear to debut my glasses, and I fell in love with this one. One thing that is noteworthy: This is my first time ever wearing boots!

Thank you, Steph. The glasses have special lenses that turn them into sunglasses when you go outside. Which means I need to go out in public again to try them out!

I appreciate the kind words, Gabby. I don’t have much of a reference to know if 5 months was rapid progress or not. I look at what Alex Kline has been able to accomplish in 8 months, and I think she’s light years ahead of me. But one thing I can say: If you had shown this photo to me 5 months ago, and told me this is where I would be in April, I simply would not have believed it. I never thought I could get here in 5 years, let alone 5 months.

A very neat & trim outfit, Angela! I like that Jacket, and I have a virtually identical
one in pink, which I get many compliments on, especially from younger women.
Your new glasses are nice looking. I had cataract surgery but still require reading
glasses.
Peggy, thanks for your compliments about my outfit. With regards to the jacket, I was originally looking for a jeans jacket, but when I saw this one online, I liked it a lot better. My need for glasses is just the opposite as yours. I need my glasses to see in general, but I have to take them OFF to read. Go figure.

I love seeing the world through Angela’s eyes. She is more emotional and empathetic than I am, which is wonderful. I think it’s actually making me a better person all-around.
Angela. I have been looking at your picture for the last five minutes. I really live the overall co-ordinated look of your outfit. How your hair frames your face and the new glasses fit perfectly with your eyes and smile. The skirt is just the right texture and with the belt and boots mixes with the jacket to give you a classic Western casual look. Way to go babe
Thank you, Michaela. I really love this outfit. I wanted something special for my reveal of Angela with her glasses. And I very much want to wear this outfit in public some day. Unfortunately, right now as I write this, it’s summer. Too hot for this particular outfit. But when the weather gets colder, I am definitely going to bring it out of the closet and go somewhere wearing it. That’s a promise I’m making to myself.
