Classic Hollywood Glam

I was lucky to have another experience at Club Cicada recently. I've written about it before, so I won't go into much detail on the place. Suffice it to say, it's a great opportunity to glam out, especially if you are into vintage 40s/50s fashion. This dress is from a recent Shein haul. Inspired by Alexandrea Forbes' evening gown at this year's Keystone, I did a deep dive into their formal wear section. I ended up with 2 gowns, both are wonderful, affordable and fit like gloves. Which was kind of shocking! That certainly doesn't happen very often. This particular dress has emerald green sequins on a black fabric background. Jill Marshall pointed out the blue and red sparkles, which I hadn't noticed. They must be from reflections. They certainly make it feel more Christmasy. This dress definitely fits my fantasy of old Hollywood, red-carpet glam. Now, where's my Oscar?
