Even as a boy, I thought girl’s clothing was more interesting than boy’s clothing. I dabbled with crossdressing in my early 20’s trying on my sisters’ clothes — but didn’t take it very far because very little fit me. Eventually my attention turned to my career — getting my degree and teaching at a university. So my crossdressing laid dormant for decades. But the itch never totally went away. When I retired, I realized that the time was right to try my hand at crossdressing again. Except this time I got serious. The internet provided me with women’s apparel that actually fit me — and delivered it to my front door. YouTube taught me how to apply makeup and other tricks to feminize my appearance. And I had the time and freedom to experiment. The result is that I was able to create Angela, a woman whose beauty and femininity exceeded my wildest expectations. I’m sorry if that sounds vain, but I’ll never forget the first time I saw her in the mirror, fully realized, staring back at me. What a rush! If only my 20-something self could see me now! I joined Crossdresser Heaven about three months after I got back into crossdressing, and it changed my life. The support and love I feel from this community has given me the confidence and courage to take my crossdressing to the next level. I now go out in public as Angela — something that I honestly thought I would never do when I began my crossdressing journey. So what’s next? Going shopping with my CDH friends, a professional makeover, and a convention or two. Stay tuned.
Loved the lacy leggings (is that what they are called?)
Probably “fishnet” is a better adjective than “lacy”. But either way, they are really cute, would you agree? I’m gonna try to wear them with more outfits.
Or do footless tights have another name?
I got them from Amazon, and Amazon calls them footless leggings.

A leg shot is such an iconic type of photo at CDH, that I really wanted to try one! I remember your very first photo was a leg shot.
My favorite legwear is definitely thigh highs in black or nude. Preferably the Hanes Just My Size Curves line. They are sheer, come all the way to the tops of my thighs, and they stay up all day. Close second for cooler weather is leggings. I like the Shapermint active leggings with pockets. I usually wear them with sheer knee highs. And always an ankle bracelet, with or without other legwear. And Angela, I love the look of those footless fishnets!
When I went looking through Amazon, to see what kind of hosiery I could buy for today, I saw those footless fishnets and fell in love. I have two others with similar designs, and I’ll try to wear those when I try on some new outfits. You’ll probably see them in future photos.
And I have to confess, as much as I love pantyhose, reading how you and a lot of others like thigh highs, I think I need to give them a try.
I wish I’d known. We’ve had cold weather and I was debating this morning between my faux leather/fleece lined leggings (I really love these but they’re too warm if the weather isn’t cool enough), and a sweater dress. I went with the sweater dress but knowing it was an official day for legwear I might have been persuaded otherwise.

I tried to look up National Sweater Dress Day, but unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be such a thing.

Now you see, Holly, this is what’s wonderful about women’s fashion. You would never hear a man utter that sentence.
Footless leggings, this is a look that’s new to me and looks very lovely and femme. Favorite? I’m pretty much equally drawn to thigh highs and pantyhose.
I have a poll in the forum, asking people what their favorite legwear is. And it’s interesting — thigh highs and pantyhose are practically neck and neck.
Angela, not only do you continually heap loads of positive comments on all of us, you keep us up-to-date on all the important information, all while looking fabulous. I love that white top with the peach leggings.
