While reading a website I regularly visit, I came across a reference to Amari Keys, a transgender woman who is enjoying early success on American Idol. If you search her name, you will find articles and videos about her and her moving performance.
(By the way, I apologize if I seem like I’m being coy about the website I mentioned, but I’m not sure about the protocol on mentioning other sites.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you Sally. Amari's story is a powerful one, not just her voice (which is just lovely to listen to) but her person, who she is and the love she has for others. It is just one of those things I marvel at, how many beautiful musicians are out there in the world and how few we hear.
