I am an out and about member of the group here and spend a far part of my life dressed female in public.
I meet and interact with a wide range of people in all parts of my life and look at my role as one of presenting our community in a good light and educating others about our lifestyle.
I am reasonably passable and have never had any major issues, but I do not hide the fact fact that I am TG
If I come across something which I feel is degrading to any of the LGBT+ community, or to others in equality diverse groups, then I will take a stand and make my feelings known.
I am very out at work and am employed in what is considered to be a very macho environment, however have great support from my co-workers, whom you would least expect compassion and understanding of something so ‘bizarre’. I put this down to being open and honest in any discussions about gender identity, and being slightly ‘humorous’ about me being me.
So what I am trying to say is that we are all ambassadors for our ’T’ in the LGBT+ community and have the ability to help educate others for the greater good.
hugs Dawn
(Please note – in the UK the use of ‘Transgender’ (TG) covers all the various terms relating from CD, TV, TG, TS, GQ Transitioning, etc… )
