My sister in skirts. We are what we are, however no one else can fulfill what we find lacking in our lives beyond supporting where we ourselves are willing to take things. You mention having a supportive other and that is a bridge most others do not have. At the end of the day any chasm in your journey is one that only you can cross. We all want the mountain top experiences, however typically we are faced with walking through the shadows in the vallies. I myself was faced with the challenge of hiding behind the trousers of my Greg persona, or accepting the challenge of stepping into the life I wanted regardless of the cost. As such in the end Greg wound up going from being a successful and respected corporate executive to becoming gracie, a lowly domestic chambermaid for persons well below the status in life I would have had. A trade off that proved a blessing in that I was never happier. Only you can determine what path you are willing to travel…will it be the high road of societal security…or the road less traveled filled with a peace of heart in the face of adversity. There is no perfect answer. All I can tell you is that in my life the joy of curtsying before those who considered themselves my betters far out weighed any pleasure I might have found being the king of an emotionally void and empty castle. May you have the courage to find a peace that supersedes the understanding of this world. Best wishes, gracie
