      Hi ladies!

If you’re like me, you love to read! I love reading almost anything, ranging from classic literature to fiction, sci-fi, adventure, history, poetry, and much more. But one of my guilty reading pleasures is that I like to read women’s magazines. Better Homes and Garden and Good Housekeeping are two of my favorites, as they provide me with a lot of new decorating and house keeping ideas (and yes, I’m a very good housewife). I also like women’s fashion magazines such as Glamour and Cosmopolitan, because they provide me with new information and ideas about makeup, styles and fashions, cute shoes and high heels, and much, much more!

So of course, that got me to wondering…

      Do you read women’s magazines?

      Hugs,

      Holly

I don’t have a subscription but I do read them when ever I can. I like to tear out the perfume ads and place them in with my lingerie to give them a bit of that scent.

I voted no.  But I do follow a few fashion and beauty blogs.

Yes I enjoy womens magazines and have been a Cosmo fan for years. Great tips and fashion ideas as well as relationship advice.

I put sometimes because I only get too when my wife is out and depending on what she has bought. I would like to read them more.

Yes, I do read them. My bride passes them along to me after she has read them. Lucky me!

I put sometimes, but why are you calling them Women’s Magazines? They have articles that are apply to so many of us, lol.

I love Glamour and Allure!  Nothing better than reading them while dressed up!

    • #717086

Yes I do, Cosmo, Chatelaine and Vogue are found in my reading pile.

Sure Holly,  Most commonly glamour style both in print and on line.  Thanks for asking.  Marg

I don’t have the time to read any magazines, be them women’s, men’s, or gender neutral.

      Hi Holly

Only when I’m bored… a flick through nothing more so I voted no.

Not regularly, but I will peruse them if I am in a waiting room or someplace where one is laying around. My wife does not buy them and has no interest in them, so they are not around the house.

I must say since finding CDH I have neglected my reading. I have a stack of books I got for Christmas and I’ve hardly looked at them.

Only if I’m in a medical waiting room. My SO does not read them at home, so there’s never any around the house. Covid has meant that the vast majority of medical places I visit ditched all magazines, so nothing to read there anyway

      Hi Holly,
I began reading women’s magazines when I was around 14 years old, mostly those of my mother and her friends. It came very natural to me and helped me to shape my female identity. It also served as a great relief during periods I could not dress. Like many of you I am a big fan of Cosmopolitan and as I live in France I read Marie France daily and Elle weekly. I like how Marie France presents their daily horoscope and provides relationship advice for women of all ages.

Hi Holly and Ladies, yes obviously I read women’s magazines that concern fashion or new suggestions regarding Make-up and interior design, but I’m not interested in gossip.

I enjoy reading them for fashion and now makeup but don’t get the opportunity often since my wife doesn’t read them.

Hi Holly, interesting question.  When my SO paid more attention to fashion and our daughters still lived at home (the younger was always really into current styles), I’d often sit down and look through many of their magazines that were laying around. And of course they included the familiar titles, Cosmo, LHJ, Redbook, Marie Claire, Glamour. But now with our daughters living far away, and cutting down on subscriptions (she was getting, This Old House, for example), I don’t do it, unless I’m visiting somewhere and I’m alone.

I also voted no at home but do enjoy reading them in the salon waiting for my brow appointment.
