“The time has come” the Walrus said,
I’ve done my dash, put the paper to bed.
The jig is up, I’ve racked my cue,
I’ve hung my cup, and bid ‘adieu’.
My bolt is shot, the day is done,
The chips are cashed, I’ve had my fun.
My bags are packed, I’m outa here,
I’ve had my shout and drunk my beer.

It’s been a blast, to say the least,
Soft music’s tamed the savage beast.
The tees are crossed, the dotted eyes
Have spelled the end, for this girl wise.
The pasture’s there, I’m set to graze.
For tiara it’s the end of days.
I’ve done my dash, but left my mark
So give me due, don’t be a nark.

I’ve said my piece, I’ll drop my pen.
It’s time to start to live again.
The challenge now is about to start.
As a plain CD I’ll play my part.
The young ones wait for guidance true
I’ll do the best that I can do.
So as my role here finally ends
I hope I leave you all as friends.

Lovely poem Jane! You have so much to offer to so many. Thank you for giving of your time and wisdom to so many of us. You are truly a blessing and I am both proud and humbled to consider you a friend!

Beautiful written Jane. Many of us here feel the trust and security  that is blanketed over us. Allowing  all to feel comfortable ànd at peace, to be the persons that dreams are made of. And that I thank you.  ”  Trust it shows the wisdom put forth . To share this to all is to steer their course.” 🌹

To paraphrase Samuel Clemens, “The reports of my departure are greatly exaggerated.”

The ‘Working’ posts are posts that Sue and I set up so we can do a bit of testing in the forums. I rattled her brain with my Fizzgig and Fleagle post so I went a bit more ‘normal’ for other posts. This poem was written when I left being an Ambassador six months ago but I never got around to posting it.

I do love the written word!
