I know this sounds a little silly, but in honor of Transgender Day of Visibility, I went out and bought myself a new Maidenform bra and intend to wear it with my outfit this afternoon. I hope all you ladies have a good day today. I intend to.

I joined dozens of my sisters today in Palm Springs for Desert Crossroads. We are quite visible. For the locals this is nothing new. LGBTQ people are openly welcomed here. The city of Palm Springs is a shining example of what’s possible when diversity is embraced. I’m hopeful far away visitors take notice and share that message with their communities.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility to you all. Unfortunately, I was not very visible today. I went to a local trans/non-binary group meeting last night, and there were only three other people there. People are scared here. The anti-trans sentiment is horrendous in Iowa right now. One trans guy I talked to is in the process of moving to a different nearby town, because he’s been getting death threats. The meeting organizer said they really didn’t publicize this meeting, because they didn’t want to put our safety at risk, if the wrong people heard about the meeting. Sorry to be a downer, but these are dark times for gender non-conforming people in my state, and many others in the US. I just hope we can weather the storm, and that it will be followed by a rainbow…

Who said that? 😉
Resplendent in purple today. If I had purple shoes that are compatible with my orthotics it would have been head to toe. As it was just head to the spot where my purple socks disappeared into my shoes.

Today I went to work with full makeup, ladies jeans, pink socks, hair down, with my standard work shirt. I wanted to come put to everyone at work, but didn’t say anything.
Maybe on national coming out day

I had no idea. My computers calendar app does not include every event. Like it includes holidays. But the national event days.

I wouldn’t worry. Maybe there’s a serious discussion to be had there Felicity, but either way, it doesn’t hurt to express your support if you want to.
For instance, I’m not a Christian, but I still celebrate Xmas. Peace and goodwill to all. A great concept.
Me? Whoops, the day passed me by, but by accident I wore my slightly glittery flip flops out for the first time.

Went and got mani-pedi’s with my wife – got my toes done in a robin’s egg blue.
XOXO
