Panties vs Underwear

For me, i only have underwear. Some mens, some womens.

I am currently wearing a pair of pink dotty high-leg knickers with a little pink bow and lace trim: in no way could they be mistaken for men’s grundies! Sure the word “panty” might be an example of reduplication in linguistics (turning “dog” into “doggy” for instance) - a commonly used technique when talking to children but that’s just linguistics. To me, there is a world of difference between men’s dull, ugly underpants and snug, pretty knickers! Knickers for me every day of the week thank you very much!!! Xx

P.S. I wonder whether my being a UK girl affects my understanding of the word “Panties” - is this another of those “pantyhose” versus “tights” questions? 😆

I don't think there are many things as boring as mens underwear. Just look at them, very little variance in styling, materials and lack of colors. Panties just feel wonderful and the word panty is just fun. There are so many styles, materials and colors. There is just nothing that I find about mens underwear that would want me to go back to wearing them. Give me a thong or a cheeky panty and I''m happy as can be.

Panties are panties for me, always have been since my earliest awareness of them! Bras are bras, girdles are girdles, slips are slips, garter belts are garter belts, you get the picture. I've never really used the term 'underwear'. When I was forced to wear male clothing I had to wear boys underpants, which I guess would be called 'briefs' or 'boxer shorts'.

Panties have their own delightful identity, and I can't see that ever changing!

Panties forever, for me!  Especially VFs!

If I'm getting dressed up then panties without a doubt. I love wearing panties and it's the first clothing article to go on and makes me feel so fem. I despise my male underwear.
