My experience is similar.
My late wife derived emotional satisfaction and also a sexual thrill from dominating a man.
I had always been a secret crossdresser (and this had always been linked in my imagination to being submissive to a stronger woman), but during our long marriage, she not only nurtured and developed the woman in me, but positioned me in the relationship as the subservient woman.
She helped me to be suitably attired for my various roles as the junior woman in the household, whether it was as her housemaid, or manicurist/pedicurist/hairdresser or general lady servant.
We were both very fulfilled and happy in this arrangement.
