I read an interesting article that the majority of prostrate operations are unnecessary, and cause more complications then they solve.
I’m not sure how old you are, but I suspect your mid 50s to 60s. (With 8 kids.)
The article mentioned that the majority of prostrate cancers are slow,and you can enjoy quality of life until an old age. An operation may extend your life, but at what expense of quality.
Ultimately its your decision ( family and God.) May God grant you all wisdom in how to move forward.
On a personal note. Cancers thrive on sugar. There is good research currently been done on the keto and carnivore diet in the treatment of early stages of cancer with great success.
