The worst thing to do is having a fake id. I take my official ID with my official name/gender. Never had any issue either at the ticket counter at the airport or if asked to show id when paying with a credit card (or being carded when ordering an alcoholic drink) or to get into a club.
Using a fake Id may very well land you in jail.
