Hmmm…. many crossdress clothing online stores seem to use real girls to model dresses, skirts and lingerie. As a MIAD that would never pass I can see the logic!

I would absolutely hope – and think so!
From my recent experiences, I’d say acceptance of CDs by the community at large has increased many, many times.
There are still pockets of hate, as a recent BBC article showed.
Much of it is to do with the individual – we are still pioneers, girls!
If you want to model, go look for opportunities – they won’t fall from the sky on you.
Get a portfolio together – get a makeover and model different outfits.
Despite the fact I know I’d never pass, I’m tempted to have a go myself!
Thanks for your inspiration, hope I’ve returned some.
Love

Hi Lisa,
I was on the “My Cross dressing Store” website the other day and they were advertising that they were looking for DR’s to model their clothes. Personally, I don’t like seeing 6′ tall female s with perfect figures modeling CD and Transgender clothing.

hi lisa, good post! I dont know of any, but surely there must be. I can see myself going up the catwalk with a pretty red dress on…… oh! back to reality (just daydreaming). I dont think I could because I wouldn’t pass, but then who says you have to? I have mixed feelings over this, about 95% go for it and 5% dont!

Hi Fiona – definitely do it!
I accepted that I will likely never pass, so took a what you see is what you get attitude.
So far people have been amazingly positive, or just treated me like I’m just another human – I think/hope people like the fact that I’m not pretending, just being as real as I can be.
It doesn’t take bravery or confidence, just the deep-down desire or need to leap into the space that already exists and own it.
This is me.

I would like to believe that it will happen. There are lots of “alternative” models now who are making names for themselves so why not a CD model.

Several brands have been experimenting with androgynous male models who bring out the best in female fashions. And runway shows are daring to show off gender neutral styles, some even crossdressed.
I do wonder why CD online stores don’t use CD models, especially for shoes, breast forms, body shapewear.

There’s an agency in London called WIMP that looks like a great place for modeling for us. I wonder if I can still model for them being in a far away country…

Seen that VS is getting rid of the angel brand and going with this might be a future for future modeling
