Allie replied to the topic "What can we do to counter the general misperception of crossdressing and crossdressers?" – 6 hours ago
@lea-jhene Thanks, Lea, I agree visibility will definitely help. I, like many others, have not gone out en femme yet. We all have our own reasons for this so I resolved to speak up instead of keeping silent when I… Read more»
Lea replied to the topic "What can we do to counter the general misperception of crossdressing and crossdressers?" – 6 hours ago
I would say… go out dressed more, be confident, behave your best, be polite and helpful, be visible, and wear a smile. That will show people that we exist, we are not afraid, we are comfortable, and we are generally… Read more»
Lea replied to the topic "Improving my wardrobe…." – 6 hours ago
I’m working on making my wardrobe more functional for daily wear and better fitting (or at least looking that way).
Lea replied to the topic "Makeup and heels" – 6 hours ago
I plead guilty. My wife has a more practical wardrobe, but my side has a lot more cuter, impractical clothes that are for special outings. As for heels, I win 100:20. My wife has a dismal collection of heels.

Yep, a cardigan (or two or three) is a must have. I especially like ones with extra long sleeves that cover my hands.Emily Southern replied to the topic "Unexpected Friends & Allies" – 18 hours ago

@lea-jhene
It upset me a great deal when I read it yesterday. I just wanted to make sure that as many other people as possible knew about it.

For years, I tried to find and wear things that would seem “normal”, yet were really feminine. Women’s sneakers, with a tinge of purple or pink. Women’s t-shirts, solid black, as undershirts. Brief panties could look like men’s briefs. Women’s… Read more»

Since writing this, I seemed to have come across many different cultures that embrace a third gender, often men who dress and express themselves as women, many of them trans. It reminds me… as a teen and a young man,… Read more»

I wonder sometimes if I know someone on here. Maybe a secret CD or an out-open co-worker who came out as trans. I see screen names that resemble their girl chosen name and I wonder.
Lea posted a new topic ""Just Charlie", a cute movie that's so relateable" – 2 weeks ago
I just finished watching “Just Charlie”, while dressed feminine. It was a cute movie about a young boy, a soccer prodigy with a future heading to the Premier League, who struggles with coming out as transgender. As a CD, so… Read more»

@lea-jhene Lovely story Lea. I think there’s been a theme since I’ve been on CDH where people are just happier and more talkative dressed compared to how they are in drab. That’s certainly the case with me. In drab I’ve… Read more»
