Forms our cocoons

 

Failure after failure

When we get knocked down

Silent screams bellowing from our body

Wanting to stay in the safe darkness

Forms our cocoons

 

Looking in the mirror

Only seeing ugliness

Never beauty

Focusing on the bad

Forms our cocoons.

 

Listening to our heart.

Seeing the light of life.

Becoming ourselves.

Never giving up.

Breaks the cocoons.

 

Looking in the mirror

Realizing we are strong

There may be scars

But we are still standing.

Breaks the cocoons.

 

We go through our lives.

Trapped and suffocating in our cocoons.

Wishing to break free.

But we can only become butterflies.
