It’s still a tad chilly in my hometown (southern hemisphere winter’s not yet over) and this morning I walked into my favourite clothing retail shop and bought the warmer, long sleeved dress I had been eyeing for quite a while.
It’s ribbed, grass green, low waist with long elasticated sleeve (so I can push up the sleeves when washing dishes, etc). Nice and short, but respectable – my thighs look better than my lower legs I think – so I am wearing beach bronze pantyhose (and my favourite low-heeled mules for when I stay in the house).
I recently bought two padded bras with lace and put on the charcoal colour one (which I had not yet used).
Once my hair was in place, I so loved the “office lady” looking back at me from the full length mirror in my hallway, I took a photo (but wearing my mid-high block heel mules) and have uploaded it.
Let’s hope that the “powers-that-be” soon approve it.Thank you for your kind comment, Angela. I felt so “empowered” as a woman that just after sunset, I sallied out onto the driveway to “promenade” about a little and enjoy the breeze slightly lifting my dress.
Two younger women walking past my fence greeted friendly, “Good evening, lady”.
One of them gave my dress an admiring glance.
It’s so exciting being now on the brink of completely “going public”.

Thank you, Susan. I had eyed that dress for weeks (both online and several times in the physical shop), but was not quite sure the colour and style would suit me, even after I had paid and left the mall.
I am totally delighted with it now and will wear it again tomorrow, but with my black ribbed tights.
Nowadays, I can no longer imagine doing admin work from home without wearing a dress (or skirt and blouse) and heels.
