A love in exploring and expressing my femme self through style, colour and textures appeals to my transgender, sensual and artistic lifestyle interests. Emotionally, I get this warm glow and sense of calm, all with a life loving glint in my eye. I enjoy the role photography plays in publicly supporting and capturing the positive, beautiful, sensual and often celebratory character of the transgender and LGBTIQ+ community. The human body is a fabulous subject and possibly better, at my age, if wrapped in something gorgeous….. and really on a vain note nothing beats looking in the mirror and seeing somebody totally different looking back. This is a wonderful photo, Amandah. First, you look beautiful. And that long purple scarf wrapped around an all-black ensemble? Love it. But I want to talk about your stagecraft. Honestly, the settings for your photos are professional-level. The backgrounds are always interesting — you clearly select them with some thought. In this photo, you can see the depth of the mall behind you, representing the countless shopping possibilities. Your photos should appear in a some type of travelogue, Amandah. They’re that good.
