Aberration is a long-running series of fabulous LGBTQ+ arts events in Mid Wales, programmed by a trio of friends. The trading name of the organisation responsible is SpringOut – a small not-for-profit partnership. Aberration began when Helen Sandler and Jane Hoy met Ruth Fowler at an event she’d organised in Aberystwyth. The friends all got together to start programming LGBT+ events for Mid Wales audiences back in 2013 and haven’t stopped since. And with otheir theatre project Queer Tales from Wales, they bring surprising characters from history back to life. ‘We’re here, we’re queer, and we’ve got a pier. Come Open Listing

Our community programs serve as the core of our mission, business goals, and well, our local communities. The overarching goal is to foster an equitable, holistic, community-based, climbing, fitness, and yoga experience. Our Equity + Outreach Department oversees all community related programs, including the Equity + Outreach Fund, Clubs, Affinity Sessions, the Community Advisory Board (CAB), and special events like film screenings, fundraisers, and social nights. The mission of ASCEND’s Equity and Outreach Department is to ensure that JEDI values (justice, equity, diversity, inclusion) are addressed and prioritized in the workplace, among the staff, and within the community. This building, having become ours, provided a chance for us to create a unique environment, and share this beautiful space with our community. The main floor of the building has now been transformed into various meeting and event spaces, available for rent by community and business organizations, in addition to the various events hosted by us within the space. The numerous walls and shelving varying from room to room, also offers a great way to showcase local artists, from ceramicists to painters, by adorning the walls during the live entertainment events, that span performance genres from one month to the Open Listing

The Geranium Trust offers friendship and support to anyone regardless of age, faith, ethnicity, status or sexual orientation who is living with bereavement, loneliness or feeling isolated. As a community focused charity our aim is, and always has been, to support those most in need in Somerset and North Dorset. We do this by organising regular tea parties, coffee mornings, Sunday roast dinners and gardening and wildlife study groups. All our trustees and administrative staff are volunteers. We do not employ any paid staff and all money raised goes to support the charitable work that we offer. The Geranium Trust Open Listing
