Thanks, Lyla! Yes, I feel that trying on a pair of heels in a store was a major accomplishment for my journey. It helped that it was a store where you could just grab any pair and try them on (as opposed to having to ask a salesperson) and the store was nearly empty, except for the two women that gave me a strange look and the checkout girl.

Thanks, Sophie! I do really love the way these shoes look. If only they were more comfortable! But hey, when I’m just wearing them around the house for an hour or so, comfort isn’t necessarily the priority. They do help me feel so incredibly feminine!
Gorgeous heels Brianna, well done for having the confidence just to go for it trying them on in the shop. Why shouldn’t we ? Another small step in ‘desensitising’ the world to things like men in heels ! And it feels soooooo good, Think many barriers are in our heads, but what’s the worst that could happen ? I feel like all of my online shopping, dressing femme in private, trying out different looks, and getting feedback from my photos here at CDH are all small steps in the process of being able to go out in another town (I also need an excuse to go to another town where no one would potentially recognize me).
