Dear readers,

Today's crossdressing success story comes from a lovely lady who has discovered her path, and the support she needs to live her authentic truth. Please welcome Alexis Marie!

Alexis Breaks out of Society's Expectations

[caption id="attachment_3075" align="alignleft" width="349"]Alexis Marie Alexis Marie[/caption]

Hi, I'm a 52 year old and have had to struggle with my gender confusion since the age of 5 or 6. I grew up with three sisters and a strict macho father, so I had to pretend to be someone I knew was not the real me.

I tried so hard to meet the expectations of the social norm as well as what my family expected. This included plying sports, working at my dad's electrical business, joining the army, marriage and children.

I completed my tour in the army but the marriage failed due to, in my opinion, that I was not happy.

I had moved out at the age of 18 and started dressing fully - it made sense when I was enfemme as if I was whole and complete.

Of course trying to do or be what others expected never seemed to work out. It was after I met my current wife 19 years ago and was open and honest from the start that I've been able to be happy.

Although I must still  work as male, with her support and encouragement I'm happy to say I'm now on hormones 3 months now. I came out to my older sister who has spent time with her sister and refers to me as her sister. She said when I told her she cried, not because she was upset but because she thought of the pain and suffering I must have had to go through not being able to tell anyone.

I plan to take the next steps to transition soon and as my sister and wife always tell me,"If you can't be happy how can you make others happy? Be who you are!"

---

Congratulations dear! You look lovely, and your courage is an inspiration for us all!

What a wonderful story, so happy for you! I too have known I was not what I presented in every day life. While my current wife has known I was a CD from before we were married, the idea of just how fem I am has only recently emerged. As I sit here writing this,I am in a skirt, summer sandals and a light top. She is in the adjacent room watching a movie! She is supportive and I am seeing a therapist to discover just how far my path will take me. I do know I will take hormones to give me the best experience I can have. Who knows maybe one day, I'll have a story to tell too! 😉

XO

- Gina

Learn to ignore the ugly comments; they only come from men. Most women realize immediately that you aren't truly female, but you are feminine, and they usually respond appropriately. I have dozens of female friends; they give me tips and pointers all the time. Don't forget that when you are sitting in a dress, your knees must always be touching, not just near each other. You will probably get tired of holding them together, and you probably can't cross them in a ladylike way (calves parallel), so watch other women when they sit. They will sometimes cross at the ankles, or fold their legs under them with the ankles crossed. When you walk, practice the "runway strut;" swing your back leg around and put that foot directly in front of the one holding your weight, then do the same with the other leg. You can do this in public most easily at a supermarket; hold onto a cart with both hands so you don't lose your balance.

Dear Alexis Marie :

You are truly an inspiration to me, I've also struggled with who I really am since I was five
and tried on my sister's dresses. Now that I'm so much older, and I like to think, wiser,
I love dressing up. I can now be the real me, I have no secrets when I dress en femme,

You're so right, only males say stupid things to hurt us girls, I can only think of two women who say the most outrageous things to me, when I've been dressed en femme.
And that's because they are so set in their own stupid ways, and want everybody to be as miserable as they are.. Society wants me to be a boy because I was born male, well,
TOO BAD !!!!!

I've played the " I'm a male " game for too long now, and frankly, it makes me sick.
I'm Jayme, I know that I'm beautiful, and I love cross-dressing. It's all about CONFIDENCE in yourself, and self love.

Jayme

Alexis Marie you are a truly inspirational person who has struggled with the pressures of male expectations when obviously that is not the person you are meant to be. Glad to hear your wife and sister are so supportive as this is a tremendous help.
I hope that you realise your dream of becoming the woman you so need to be. I am living full time as Debra now and I am awaiting for the gender identity clinic to get in touch but after thirty years of denial and hiding my true feelings I am living as the person I want to be although the body doesn't match the person I feel much happier to be her than to be living a lie as some one I'm not inside and in my feelings. Good luck with your journey and hold onto your dream s and ignore those who have no idea what you are going thru and who you are x

Alexis Marie i commend u, getting away from all that male toughness is not easy, but ir doing it and seem to have a lot of support, which is awesome. U also give me some hope that maybe there can be lady friend who understands, but what we do is for ourselves, so we can shine more, and u do look beautiful.
