Thank you Vanessa for sharing your journey with us. I have been feeling very disconnected from the world. I really don’t know how to explain it, I call it my Different Planet days. I found a series of videos on… Read more»

Hi Danelle,
Your story really resonated with me. Thanks for sharing your journey.Heather Harrison replied to the topic Do you have girly tendencies? in the forum General Chat "Life as it Goes On" 10 months ago
I hear you sister. It’s hard not being able to be your true self. Oh yeah, the whole makeup thing too.

This is a wonderful thread and I can relate to so many things that have been said.
I grew up in rural MT and was indoctrinated in the “cowboy culture”, which is very masculine oriented. I was always more sensitive that alot of the boys in school, and along with being one of the shortest boys I was bullied quite alot. Unfortunately I learned early…[Read more]

I’m Heather and since I’ve been gone for awhile I thought I would reintroduce myself.
Life has been a roller coaster and I’m glad to be back with the gurls.

Liara,
I feel the same way as you. I spent my life being hyper masculine: riding broncs and years in law enforcement. It feels good to not having to be that way anymore.

I’m glad you have made those steps; you are very brave! It would be dangerous for me to present as female where I live.
I’m sorry your health conditions preclude HRT hon.
Hugs

I’ve learned that makeup can do wonders. Most of my life I never moisturized and never used sun block. I’m paying the price now. Moisturize!

Hi Amber,
You have come to the best site for people like us!
I am fortunate to have a spouse that is supportive. I had no idea how to broach this subject, but my wife just LOVES Halloween, and I rarely do any sort of costume for the occasion. One year I decided to dress as a woman and my partner’s clothes and shoes fit so there was little…[Read more]

Dawn,
How does the fat distribution thing work?

I wish the United States was more accepting and actually helped trans people. : (

I would seriously consider top surgery, especially if HRT is not an option for you. You mentioned physical dysphoria and there is a real possibility that implants would lessen it, or hopefully, eliminate the uncomfortable feelings of dysphoria.
Hugs,
Heather

Hi girls,
I’m going through another bout of dysphoria and its pretty bad this time around. I was just wondering what triggers this in others?
Some of my triggers are body hair, looking at myself in the mirror and having my photo taken in male mode. There are others but these really stand out to me.
