Hello and welcome Deborah. I can certainly relate to the pain of purging. I’ve lost some beautiful frocks and shoes over the years. And I too have said, ‘never again.’ Welcome!

Hello and welcome Amy. All journeys have to start somewhere and this is probably the best place!

I should add, I got my haircut on New Years Eve. And my hair is now a glorious shoulder length blonde. With the pandemic, Madam has been nervous of hairdressers. For the first time in our relationship, her hair is actually longer than mine!

Happy New Year ladies. I hope you’ve had a good holiday season and that you have a positive start to the new year.
A lot of the posts I read in this part of the forum seem to be based on finding acceptance from partners. And I guess that is kind of natural. I know I’m looking for the same.
Over the holiday season the SO and I had a good break…[Read more]

I don’t like the look of a man in a dress on me – the look needs to be more complete – passing as a woman would be great, but looking acceptable to my own eyes is the goal.
I get this. Sometimes I look in the mirror while dressed and think, “Don’t you look completely ridiculous?” While other times the reaction is, “Wow, who is that woman…[Read more]

I am jealous of your height Michelle! I am not sure anyone is individually happy with themselves!
Times are changing and women are getting generally getting taller and broader (for which I am eternally grateful as it makes more shoes available that fit me!).
Of all the women in my life, only one was under six foot. And I’m only 5′ 10″ myself.

It doesn’t sharpen razor blades though, so I’m thinking of sending it back…
Lol! I have not come across that theory for a while! Love it Lovett!

I think all the formats have a time and a place.
I get the idea that CDs are cold. They are, they are convenience; (relatively) easy to store, stick them on the player, press one button, skip to the track you want and you don’t even have to turn them over. For a lot of bands in the 90s, it was the only format they could release on though. It’s…[Read more]

Lately, I have put my hair in a ponytail and have gone shopping. I love the feeling of my hair brushing against my neck. I’ve even gone so far as to tie it back with a pink hair tie. I don’t think anyone would look that close to notice but it does make me feel more feminine, even though in a very small way.
It is the little things that can mak…[Read more]

Hi all.
I’ve been dying my hair regularly for a few years now, either black or dark brown. Ostensibly, this has been to address the increasing grey.
Over lockdown, and as we had some sunny days, I decided to go with a complete change. I’ve gone with a blonde semi-permanent dye. This has turned the roots blonde and lightened the black and brown…[Read more]

Jenn (Jennifer) Scarlet replied to the topic A question about the 50'ish year old crossdresser in the forum General Chat "Life as it Goes On" 2 years ago
Great question.
I note some people have suggested that is hormonal link to age. I wonder if the answer is more pragmatic than that. If it was a whodunnit I’d say there is means, motive and opportunity
As I’ve moved through my 40s and now into my 50s several key things have happened:
1. I now have the money and space to pander to my individual…[Read more]Jenn (Jennifer) Scarlet replied to the topic Long hair and ponytails in the forum Personal Crossdressing Stories 2 years ago
I would suggest you try to free yourself from making you decision about your hair based on cultural norms or other people’s judgments. You just enjoy unpacking the inner you and see where the journey of finding self takes you.
Thank you Cece X. I think that really hits the nail on the head or, in this case, the hair on the head!

Social conditioning has a lot to answer for. The idea that short hair is masculine is a modern invention. And it’s interesting how many women nowadays choose to have short hair without losing any feminine appeal.
I’m 52 and work in a conservative male dominated environment. In guy mode I wear my hair very long and I do so proudly as it reflects…[Read more]
