Finding Your Crossdressing Walk

Researchers recently attached lights to people walking to study the characteristics of a feminine walk, and a masculine walk. Here you can find a short video showing the crossdressing walk. You’ll notice that the more feminine walk shows the hips rotating in a swinging fashion while the shoulders rotate in response. I’ve seen a few transvestites who try to swing their hips while keeping their shoulders straight. This looks, and feels awkward.

Another hallmark of the feminine walk is keeping your legs close together, while your feet seem to be treading an invisible line. This is difficult to do if you’re wearing heels, and can look a bit overdone if you cross your feet in front of you. In the video you’ll see that the feminine walk is a bit exaggerated, but it’s instructive when you look at the more masculine walks.

A lack of swinging in the hips and more balanced legs are more masculine. If you’re knees are pointed outward with your center of gravity on your chest area you’ll quickly be read as a man.

I found this video to contain some valuable advice for the transgendered looking to improve their feminine walk. Remember – keep your center of gravity over your hips, stand up straight and keep your legs closer together!

The one thing I noticed in that video, which I have seen versions of before,that you didn’t cover, is the placement of the elbows. In the neutral the elbows are straight down from the shoulders, while in the masculine they bend out. The elbows bend in on the feminine walk though. Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents, which after today is worth about 0.0000001% of a penny. Til next time…

When I first did business out in the open it was as Ginnae and it didn’t take me long at all to learn to walk and stand, it came pretty natural. I was wearing a full face mask and long wig and had a costume on and the crowd at it up. It was a blast.

I can’t view it! I have practiced my feminine walk and I’m told I walk better in heels then a lot of women. I LOVE walking in heels!

99.9% of the time I’m OK I think you saying I need my legs closer together.helps.I’ve not really been swimming my hips and never thought of shoulders. Thank you for your information,great help. Thanks your a huni.x

A great way to practice is a tread mill slow it down to find your rhythm once you master it you can then speed it up to a natural speed and also pretend you have heels on seemed to help best of luck wanda

I have found tucking to help very much with getting a feminine walk. Not to be crude but having something between your legs really kind of throws off your gait.
