As the Resident editor, I’ve been tasked with determining the worthiness of submissions and which ones to accept for editing and publication. I’ve also had to inform the authors of some really great pieces that they don’t quite fit. Sometimes, just by expanding their thoughts into a larger 500-750 word article is enough, and other times there is a need for a rewrite to make it passable. Often, the best ones are left to the vast forgotten vault of “Could have been.”

Thankfully, I’ve been given the support to create a new page grouping where I can post those articles just outside of the norm. Let’s be clear; the norm is mostly a recounting of a particular event that happened to you, a story of how you came to this point in your life, or a personal exploration of what crossdressing is all about.

What I want to build is a collection of thought pieces on a wide range of subjects: makeup and application, accessories, clothes, shoes, wigs, transformation successes, places to go—or not, events to attend, and so many other possibilities. Let’s also post some fun things: a poem, jokes (clean, clean, clean), or a top ten list of things to never do when you are only girl in a room full of men. How about some “how to” posts on taking photos, buying the right size bra, losing weight (in all the right places,) learning to think like a girl… You get the point! Some of this is shared in forums or in the chat rooms, but I want to have you stop by and read a post that makes you say, “Ahh, now I get it,” or laugh until you cry at someone’s poem, or even find your voice to submit your own article.

Follow the hodgepodge link on the front page to another world of all that is crossdressing. Use Hodgepodge when choosing a category when you submit your article. Let’s explore some of those burning issues that make for great thought and are too important to lay to rest without having a chance to be heard. See you all on the flipside…

Hi there Brina! Guess who? Yep, it’s me – Scarlett! And I can’t wait to start contributing short writings in almost every category you’ve listed for your Hodgepodge department. You know I love to help our CDH girls reach their highest levels of cross dressing. You wouldn’t believe the amount of private messages sent to me asking for quick tips or long winded answers to important questions having to do with methods to assist with their thrill of cross dressing! I can hardly wait to send in my first contribution to Hodgepodge and so glad you came up with the… Read more »
